Privacy Policy — Alaska Bait Express

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 11, 2026 · Last updated: June 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Alaska Boat And Fishing Academy LLC, doing business as Alaska Bait Express (“Alaska Bait Express,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Alaska Bait Express mobile application (the “App”) and the website at alaskabait.com (together with the App, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are

Alaska Boat And Fishing Academy LLC
DBA Alaska Bait Express
175 N. Binkley St., Unit #2233
Soldotna, AK 99669
Contact: info@alaskabait.com

2. Age Requirement

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at info@alaskabait.com and we will delete it.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you give us

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, and password (handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not see or store your password in plaintext).
  • Profile information — optional company name; delivery locations you save.
  • Order information — items, quantities, delivery date and time window, delivery address or marina, and any delivery notes you provide.
  • Payment information — credit/debit card details are entered directly into Stripe’s payment interface inside the App. Stripe processes and stores your card data; we do not. We retain only a card brand and last-4 digits for receipts, plus an internal Stripe transaction reference.
  • Communications — content you send to our support team or in chats with the in-app AI bait assistant.
  • Photos and media (drivers and admins only) — proof-of-delivery photos and product photos uploaded from the device camera or photo library.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Limited technical data — basic information such as device type, operating system, app version, and IP address is collected by our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) to operate the Services, maintain security, and prevent fraud and abuse. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3.3 Information from payment processing

When you make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) shares limited transaction information with us — such as the card brand, the last four digits, and a transaction reference — so we can confirm your payment and provide receipts. The App does not offer third-party social sign-in.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Process orders, payments, and refunds;
  • Schedule and complete deliveries;
  • Send transactional messages about your orders (confirmations, scheduling, delivery updates) by SMS, in-app notification, or email;
  • Send marketing or broadcast SMS messages only if you have opted in, with the ability to opt out at any time by replying STOP;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  • Operate the in-app AI bait assistant when you choose to use it;
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the App, diagnose problems, and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

Each provider is contractually obligated to use your information only to perform services for us.

5.2 Drivers

When you place an order for delivery, the driver assigned to your delivery sees your name, phone number, delivery location, delivery notes, and order contents so they can complete the delivery.

5.3 Legal and safety

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, respond to legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of Alaska Bait Express, our customers, or others, or investigate fraud or other wrongdoing.

5.4 Business transfers

If Alaska Bait Express is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

6. SMS Messaging (Twilio)

If you provide your phone number, you may receive transactional SMS messages from Alaska Bait Express related to your orders and deliveries. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on order activity.

If you have separately opted in to marketing or broadcast SMS (for example, by joining a VIP customer list or a promotional list), you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of marketing SMS will not affect transactional messages necessary to fulfill your orders. Consent to receive marketing SMS is not a condition of any purchase.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account (see Section 9), we anonymize your past orders — removing your name, email, phone number, and delivery address — while retaining the underlying transactional records (order totals, dates, items) for tax, accounting, financial-reconciliation, and audit purposes as required by law.

Stripe retains payment records under its own retention schedule for fraud-prevention and regulatory compliance.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information (see Section 9).
  • Opt-out of marketing SMS — reply STOP to any marketing message.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@alaskabait.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days).

8.1 California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), gives you the rights listed above and the right to limit our use of “sensitive personal information.” We do not sell or “share” (as defined under the CCPA) your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8.2 Other states

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others) may have similar rights and can submit requests using the contact information above.

9. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly inside the App:

Account → Account & Data Deletion → Delete Account

When you delete your account, we will:

  1. Permanently delete your Firebase authentication record;
  2. Remove your name, email, phone number, delivery addresses, and any saved profile information from our database;
  3. Anonymize the line-item history of any past orders so that they can no longer be linked back to you, while retaining the financial totals needed for accounting and tax records;
  4. Remove you from any marketing SMS lists.

You may also request deletion by email at info@alaskabait.com. Deletion is irreversible.

10. Security

We use Firebase Authentication, encrypted-in-transit (TLS) connections, and Stripe’s PCI-DSS-compliant payment infrastructure to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information should contact us at info@alaskabait.com.

12. International Users

The Services are operated in and intended for users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you in the App or by email. Your continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
